NHS Career Insight Program - Catering Assistant
We are inviting participants to take part in our NHS Career Insight Programme, offering a hands‑on opportunity to work alongside our dedicated Catering Team.
About the Role
As part of this experience, you will discover how each Catering Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patient care and maintaining a safe, high‑quality service. Your placement may include:
- Delivering meals to wards
- Supporting our retail catering outlets
- Preparing items such as sandwiches and snacks
- Helping maintain clean, safe catering environments
Every task is essential, and safety is at the heart of everything we do.

Expectations:
With this role you will be expected to

volunteer for 3 shifts a week over 7 weeks (including some weekends)

Complete mandatory training

Complete food hygiene training (provided)
