NHS Career Insight Program - Activity Volunteer in Mental Health at the Wellsprings site in Taunton.

This is a 6-8 week programme dependant on training dates and covering shifts. You will be expected to cover a 4 hour shift 3 times a week and will include weekend shifts. There is online mandatory volunteer training plus extra training modules in mental health, self-neglect and observation and support (to include Dementia training).

PLEASE NOTE - This role is set in a mental health ward. There may be times that you find distressing due to the level of mental health issues a patient has through anxiety, self-harm/neglect.

You will be required to have a DBS and complete an Occupational Health assessment. All applicants must be 18+.

Interviews will be held 11th February only, due to capacity and availability of staff, with a view to starting the role early April 2026.
